Country-based language selection
On a first visit without a saved language choice, Kitia checks the connection IP against a country database stored on its Hetzner server to choose English or French. This lookup is local; Kitia does not send the IP address to a geolocation service for language selection. A saved language choice or a supported browser language takes priority.
IP Geolocation by DB-IPAudience measurement (Google Analytics)
Kitia uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits, the countries they come from, sign-ups and sign-ins. Analytics cookies are only set if you choose “Allow all cookies”; otherwise Google receives cookieless, non-identifying signals. Advertising features are disabled. A signed-in visit carries your opaque Kitia account identifier, never your email address.
